Once upon a time there was homeless Golden Retriever named Lenny.  On his  way to find his new forever home he got lost and was taken by the mean dog catcher to a gloomy pound.  Jake's Friends was contacted by email about Lenny's last days fast approaching at the pound and he was going to be put down.  Jake's Friends  went into rescue mode and dispatched an emergency transport to save poor Lenny before the big bad wolf could get him.  Here is Lenny arriving in his blue slicker, all happy and healthy and ready to start a new life with Jake, Ranger & Skip.  (Skippy felt left out so he had to have his own slicker too) Lenny is now a permanent fixture on the front porch of Stanford Court with his new found brothers.  Just like the other members of the canine greeting crew, Lenny is always ready with a big smile and a steady paw for a good shake.
