A few weeks ago, the pound in Temple called Old Texas to say they had a Golden about to be put to sleep.  We met this wayward pup and our hearts were broken.  He was so thin and so depressed he absolutely would not eat.  To top it all off, he had a bad case of kennel cough.  For two straight days we tried to get him to eat something.  He became one of the family and we named him Harley.

Then, one morning, we were feeding him with our other 3 Goldens (Jake, Ranger, and Skip) and Harely started eating.  He is such a smart and beautiful dog and we have quickly become very fond of him.  Now, he greets everyone at the store, just like the rest of the pack.  We probably spent $350 nursing him to health, but it was so worth it.  We are searching for just the right home for him, and we think we have found one.
